1001 Cathédrales

The 1001 Cathédrales workshop offers an overview of the artistic, historical and architectural aspects of the Strasbourg Cathedral. As part of the initiative, participants are invited to “build” their own cathedral with a new design. They experience the various steps of building a cathedral by adding different architectural elements using stamps.

Each category – foundations, walls, windows, roofs and decorations – is colour-coded so that it can be located in the image. The posters designed by the children are paired with a glossary of architectural elements, in order to lend an educational dimension to this fun activity.
